Attendance and Accountability Policy

We understand that attending every cadet activity may not always be possible. It is the responsibility of each cadet to report any absence. Once reported, your absence will be marked as excused rather than unexcused. However, excused absences may still impact your overall attendance record as outlined below.

Consistent unexcused absences reflect a lack of accountability and may affect eligibility for advanced training, awards, and other opportunities.

To report an absence:

Please send an email to 2958army@cadets.gc.ca and notify your Section Sergeant or Platoon Warrent Officer following the Chain of Command.

Extended Absences

Cadets absent for four consecutive weeks will be removed from the Corps. Rejoining will require reapplication.

Arriving Late or Leaving Early

If you anticipate arriving late or leaving early, notify us in advance. Upon arrival or before departure, report to the Corps Office to ensure proper tracking of your attendance.

Accountability and communication are key to maintaining your status and opportunities within the Corps.
