Biography for Capt McDonald
Capt McDonald has been involved with the Corps since 2015. He started volunteering as a member of the Parent Support Committee, then as a Corps Instructor, and then enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces as a CIC officer in 2017. He currently serves as the Training Officer and the Deputy Commanding Officer and is also an instructor with the Army Cadet Expedition Program. He has over 30 years of service in the Public Service of Canada, mostly with the Department of Transport as a Civil Aviation Specialist.
He is a former cadet, Scout Leader, coach, first aid instructor, search and rescue volunteer, and high school teacher. He is passionate about giving back to the program and creating opportunities for the same positive experiences that have made such a difference in his own life.
